ros_acomms
ROS interface to the WHOI Micromodem and transport of ROS messages across an acoustic link, with simulation. Supports ROS 1 and ROS 2.
Overview
ros_acomms is a ROS package that provides a generic ROS interface to the WHOI Micromodem and transparent transport of ROS messages across an acoustic link. It also provides simulation capabilities.
The same packages build under ROS 1 (catkin) and ROS 2 (ament). Source is on the WHOI GitLab, and the documentation covers setup and the simulator.
License
Message, service and launch definitions are LGPL-3.0. The nodes and the rest of the code are AGPL-3.0. The repo's LICENSE gives the reason: groups that change ros_acomms should contribute those changes back.
